Which is better, the jumping second movement and the sweeping second movement?
1. Definition
The jumping second movement means that the second hand of the clock will beating and rotating. When the second is jumping, the human eye can feel the second hand beating, usually at one second interval.
Sweep second movement, usually called silent movement, the second hand rotates at a constant speed.
2. Principle
From the structural principle, the difference between these two types of movement is not big, the main difference is that their motor frequency is different. The frequency of the quartz clock with continuous needle movement is relatively high, about tens to hundreds of Hz. Because the motor speed is high, the gear train is a little more complicated; while in the form of jumping seconds, the motor frequency is only 1 Hz, and the motor rotor per second It only rotates 180 degrees, and the rotation is also stepwise and intermittent. The difference between a quartz movement and a mechanical movement
1. Different accuracy
